Note: RvR Armor Set drop loot is a funny thing. The BoE pieces are the only ones you’ll be able to find on the Auction House (Boots, Gloves and certain Belts). There are some exceptions and they’ll be noted by Set and by Tier when this is the case. Traditionally, Boots and Gloves drop off players only and are Bind on Equip, while all other pieces come from Gold Bags in either Keeps, Expedition Warcamps, or the City (depending on the Set) and are Bind on Pickup. RvR – Armor Sets are ones that have Renown Rank requirements to equip and are earned via participating in RvR. All of these set pieces are Bind on Pickup. The only requirement to wear these sets is your character level. The same set is available throughout the Tier, no matter the pairing, so you can obtain your set off any PQ at the lowest end of the Tier if you wish. PvE Public Quests – Armor Sets are available from Gold Bags in Public Quests (PQ) in all Tiers. Most sets provides a title unlock upon completion and completing all collections of certain types provides an additional title unlock as well. Some methods are available in all Tiers and some are specific to certain ones. There are five ways to obtain armor sets : PvE Public Quests, RvR, Quests, Dungeons, and Merchant NPCs. Sets also have talisman slots that add to their effectiveness by allowing you to adjust your stats to your specific needs. Those that wish to bask in the glory that is outdated information can scroll down past the new links to the old guide.įor the purpose of this guide, an “Armor Set” is defined as a collection of armor pieces that have a bonus applied when wearing a certain number of the pieces, above and beyond the regular stats of the armor. While I’m not ruling out BioWare-Mythic making more changes to armor in the future, this will at least be a more up-to-date version than has existed in quite a while. With the three-year anniversary of WAR fast approaching, I decided it was time to finish off the long-anticipated update to this guide that started two years ago.īetween the addition of more information to make it even more definitive-y than ever before and the seemingly constant changes to armor capped off with the major re-distribution of sets throughout the game, it seemed like a never-ending process.
